Christian Mortlock’s AIGA project is a catalog design for American Institute of Graphic Arts, Philadelphia Design Competition. Using a variable printing program, each cover is a different color of a predetermined spectrum; thus, making each catalog entirely unique— no two pieces are identical. In addition, each catalog was individually numbered. When all the catalogs are stacked together the spines create a seamless spectrum of color that produces the quality of a sculpture.
