Imitation of Life

For her series titled "Mimesis" artist Sarah Garzoni applied corporate logos to real butterflies using an ink jet printer. Sarah's work questions our constant struggle to harness the planet's resources for the benefit of civilization, and shows us how nature can quickly expose our vain pretensions.

  1. I like the last one most of all. I guess I can create one with me own design. That is good)

  2. Poor butterflies. I probably can't stand it when I see Sarah printing on those butterflies. But I really like the second one, it's simple yet make an imprint on your mind.

  4. I could say that Sarah Garzoni is a brilliant artist just by looking at some of her artworks. I just feel bad for those poor butterflies just in case they're real. But I guess they're already dead when Sarah did her works on them, right?
