The Constructed Image

Artist Daniel Gordon creates 3-dimensional assemblages out of Google-sourced images. The process resembles a real-life cut and paste procedure, as the artist assembles objects found on the internet and reconfigures them in an endless cycle of creation. Daniel explains, “I begin with an idea of something I’d like to make, search for images online, print them, and then construct a three dimensional tableau that is then lit and photographed with a large format camera,”
