Arthur King: Skateboards

For his "Skateboards" project, artist Arthur King created a series of "re-worked" skateboards using a variety of everyday objects. From a sandwich, to a wood log, to a vintage suitcase – Arthur pulls everyday materials from the world of mass-produced objects into the realm of art through his use of appropriation.

  1. I wonder if these can be found in an australian skate shop. This is witty and I'm sure skaters will find this humor uncanny.

  2. The foot long photo is hilarious. Because of this, I was inspired to do a paint job on my scooter with its bast looking like a foot long. I just love the idea.

  3. These are pretty cool. If only skateboard has different variety of designs just like these, then I might trade biking with it. Not.
