For his latest project titled "The Office", Brussels-based paper and set designer Alexis Facca created a series of realistic interior designs fully made of paper. The idea was to recreate the offices of a British advertising agency in 80′s. The results of his attention to detail are quite staggering: just look at the newspaper on the coffee table announcing Margaret Thatcher's historic victory in June 1983, as well as the calendar open to ... June 83.

These are good ideas for an office space. I was thinking of creating my office in my own home instead of renting. For me it's better because I get to stay home and not drive a lot, because I suck at driving. I needed an extra space so I has one of my walls removed to create an extension of the house. Right now I'm thinking of the decor and furniture I will use. It's pretty exciting.
ReplyDeleteIf it wouldn't for the title, I would believe that this office space do really exist. I admire Alexis' work, it just look so real. I would probably design up a paper-inspired room for myself as well, I just don't know where to start.
ReplyDeleteOffice spaces made out of paper? Is this for real?I’m just curious about one thing; well if this project is being pursued, how are the devices being installed for water drinking purposes thinking that the place is made of papers..
ReplyDeleteAre these really made out of paper? I love the black drawer and the copying machine! They seem to be true. Office spaces and houses in the 80s were very simple yet classy, and they don't have that much furniture before!
