A Large Scale Installation Made with Thousands of Plastic Bags

"Plasic Bags" is a large-scale installation by Cameroonian artist Pascale Marthine Tayou created for the contemporary art museum MACRO in Rome.. The enormous sculpture is almost 10 meters high and made with thousands of plastic bags. Pascale Marthine Tayou's work suggests a different and correct use of plastic bags, which have become emblematic objects of the contemporary human condition, a symbol of globalization, rampant consumerism, but also of the nomadic lifestyle that increasingly characterizes today's society.
