This series of powerful and emotive images by photographer Shannon Jensen titled "The Long Walk" documents the shoes belonging to some of the 30,000 refugees who travelled by foot across the border from Sudan’s Blue Nile state over to neighbouring South Sudan to flee Khartoum’s deadly military campaign. The incredible array of worn down, ill fitting and jerry-rigged shoes form a silent testimony to the arduous nature of their journey.
