Ornate Rug Meticulously Crafted from Computer Parts

Concentrating on other uses of everyday objects artist Federico Uribe creates complex works of art from every possible material. His latest project titled "Tapete" is a large rug made from thousands of meticulously arranged computer components such as fans, cables, keyboard keys, motherboards and mice. “Most of my work is based on words”, says Uribe, “I sometimes start with a name and look for my objects, sometimes the object makes me think of the word, and I exploit it to create a work.”
