Hue: A Colorful Paper Installation by Nathalie Chikhi

French born artist Nathalie Chikhi explores simple arrangements and the application of repetitive methods. Her latest exhibition titled "HUE" consists of a series of monochromatic wall drawings combined with a colorful floor installation built using a wide array of raw colored paper. “These works are responsive to one another”, explains Chikhi, “With a conceptual approach to lights and shadows, the flat works on paper seem to become three dimensional. The absence of color makes them even more quiet & abstract. At the opposite, some small arches, built using a wide array of raw colored paper, draw an energetic land.” The exhibition will run through April 20, 2013 at Alt Space Gallery in New Smyrna Beach, FL.
