Abandoned Psychiatric Hospital Becomes Creepy Graffiti Gallery

Brazilian street artist Herbert Baglione recently took over an abandoned psychiatric hospital in Parma, Italy and used what was left behind as anchors for a series of painted shadows inspired by the tortured souls that used to inhabit the place. The ghost-like figures are part of a project he calls "1,000 Shadows". The heart of Baglione's work is "formed by his relationship to emotional matters such as death, human coldness, family, the world and the work of other artists and his strong desire to retain his sense of wonderment as it pertains to the world around him."
