Intricate Sculptural Installations Made with Household Objects

Globe-trotting interdisciplinary artist and designer Edmond van der Bijl (aka Akamundo), arranges everyday household objects into new sculptural forms. This series of works is based on the idea of the "unit" and how its function and appearance can change dramatically when it is added to, or multiplied by, itself. Edmond says of his work, "In  a world obsessed with ‘mass production’, the focus of this series is to use what is readily available rather than to use additional resources to create a new object."
