Brilliantly Absurd Inventions by Patrick Strattner

Inspired by the in-flight publication SkyMall, well known for its unusual and absurd products, Los Angeles-based photographer Patrick Strattner created a series of gadgets designed to simplify everyday tasks. The series aptly titled "Prototypes", explores the idea of consumerism through the invention, design and full-scale construction of a series of bizarre devices. Strattner creations include a three wheeled foot propelled bristle sweeper, an automatic upper and lower full mouth toothbrush, nighttime shades with automatic dimming headlights and a battery operated back hair shaving and grooming system.
