Korean Artist Installs Classical Sculptures Made of Soap in Museums Restrooms

London-based Korean artist Meekyoung Shin recently installed a series of sculptures made out of soap in the bathrooms of 16 galleries and museums in 15 cities across the United Kingdom. The interactive installation appropriately titled "Toilet Project", invites visitors to use the sculptures to wash their hands. eventually softening and erasing the details and features of the statuettes. Shin's soap creations will be in place until October at galleries including Birmingham’s IKON Gallery, The Scottish National Museum of Modern Art and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
