Sail Away: An Installation Featuring Hundreds of Small Boats Made from Paper Money

Last April, London-based artist Susan Stockwell created a large interactive installation in Tate Modern's Turbine Hall titled "Sail Away", featuring hundreds of small boats made from paper money, tickets and maps. Based on ideas of connections through travel, trade and trade routes, mapping and colonial/personal histories, the artist invited visitors to interact with the work by adding their own own DIY boats to the flotilla.
