A Visually Mesmerizing Ballet Performed by a Cast of Plastic Bags

As part of the of the London International Mime Festival 2014, French performance artist Phia Ménard and her pioneering company Compagnie Non Nova created a visually mesmerizing ballet featuring a cast of very talented airborne plastic bag dancers. Performed to the music of Debussy, this enchanting dance piece is animated by a ring of fans pointing inward to the centre of a round stage. The cross-currents generated by the fans inflate the plastic bags transforming them into animated dancers magically floating in the air. Watch the video below.
