Artist Sews Portraits of Family and Friends on the Palm of His Hand

Using his own body as a canvas, Spanish artist David Cata sews portraits of the people who have left a mark in his life on the palm of his hand. The project titled "Overexposed Emotions" is an autobiographical diary in which the lives of family, friends, partners and teachers are painfully interwoven with the artist's personal history. Cata explains, "Every moment lived stays in the memory to finally be forgotten. somehow, this fact is painful, since there are only material things and traces that people leave behind."
