Through all of his travels in New York City’s neglected parks, waterways, and abandoned buildings, Brooklyn-based photographer Will Ellis has collected and photographed discarded objects that are too fascinating, too mysterious and too grotesque to leave behind. The project titled "Lost and Found" comprises a collection of 30 found objects picked up over two years across the five boroughs of the city. "Each object is imbued with mystery and a strong sense of the past." Ellis says, "Many date back to the first half of the twentieth century. Together, they offer a rare insight into the lives of the anonymous masses that make up the United States’ most populous city."
