Photos of Neatly Organized Everyday Objects Celebrate the Beauty of Cuban Shop Windows

Inspired by a visit to Cuba, where the shop windows reflect the country’s Communist system of government, photographer Cathering Losing alongside her long-time collaborator, set designer Anna Lomax, set out to capture the essence of inventive visual merchandising in a country cut off from capitalism and consumerism – and with only the most basic of products to sell. Catherine created a striking colourful and multi-layered world of laundry-basket pyramids, towers of toilet roll and bright blooms blossoming from plastic bottles, celebrating and elevating the mundane in her inimitable style.
