Streets Artist Roadsworth Transforms Montreal's Roads into Playful Works of Art

Inspired by a desire for adventure and galvanized by a loathing of car culture, Montreal street artist Peter Gibson, aka Roadsworth creates striking works of guerilla art often incorporating existing street markings. Armed with spray paint cans and stencils, he works mostly at night, adorning mundane city surfaces with flowers, flocks of geese, giant fish, and tall dandelions. Speaking about his work Gibson says, "What began as a form of activism rooted in a desire for more bike paths and justified by the rationale outlined above eventually grew into an art project that, to a certain extent, continues today."
