Artists Transform Ordinary Objects Found Throughout Their Home into Colorful Mandalas

Hillerbrand+Magsamen are a collaborative husband and wife visual artist team made up of Stephan Hillerbrand and Mary Magsamen. Based in Houston, Texas their work draws upon the rich Fluxus practice of incorporating humor, performance, photography art and everyday objects. For their latest project titled "Mandalas" they have created a series of bright, organized color pallets combining odds and ends found throughout their home. Speaking about the project they said, "In an effort to unify our home and family, we have created a series of large photographs of Mandalas where we have organized the stuff from our home such as Barbies, Legos, books and all those crazy little plastic items into circular patterns.”
