Artist Transforms Bristol's Historic Park Street into A Giant Water Slide

As part of Make Sunday Special and the Bristol Art Weekender, artist Luke Jerram recently created a massive urban water slide right down the middle of Bristol's historic Park Street. The giant slide was constructed by laying a plastic sheet over padded mats and hay bales, creating a straight descent from top to bottom. The person on the slide becomes the performer, while spectators either side watch on. The project called "Park and Slide" transforms the street and asks people to take a fresh look at the potential of their city and the possibilities for transformation.
