Artist Installs Luscious Grass Hiils Inside a Gallery Space in Norway

For his installation titled "Not Red but Green", Norway-based artist Per Kristian Nygård has filled the exhibition space of the NoPlace Gallery in Oslo with rolling hills covered in lush deep thick grass. The sculpture was grown from seeds that had been planted a couple of weeks earlier during the extremely hot but short Norwegian summer. To create the rolling terrain the artist built a simple wooden frame and then covered it with nearly 1,200 gallons of soil, which had to be watered daily.
