Chinese artist Ren Ri, works in the unique medium of beeswax, manipulating the movement of bees and the formation of honeycombs to create incredible sculptural maps in the image of various countries around the world. The sculptures are part of his new exhibition at Pearl Lam Galleries in Hong Kong through April 12, 2015, titled "Yuansu Projects", a show that explores Ren Ri's intimate experience with bees as both an artist and a beekeeper. Via the press release, "The artist believes his sculptures represent the truth of how humans interact with nature, which involves harmony, destruction, molding, and interference, and can result in unpredictable, sometimes volatile, but sometimes wondrous results."
