Ikonen: History's Most Fascinating Photographs Recreated as Miniture Scenes
Using paper, cotton balls, tape and model vehicles, Switzerland-based magazine and advertising photographers Jojakim Cortis and Adrian Sonderegger create incredibly detailed miniature scenes depicting iconic photographs. The ongoing project titled "Ikonen" pays tribute to some of the most fascinating photos taken in the past two centuries. It spans everything from the Hindenburg disaster to the protests at Tiananmen Square. “It started out as a joke,” Cortis told Wired. “In our free time, when there’s no money coming in, we decided to try to recreate the most iconic pictures in the world.”
