Galactic Dimension: A Supersized Pinball Machine Built out of Repurposed Everyday Items

Commissioned by Phæno – an amazing science center in the German city of Wolfsburg, "Galactic Dimension" is a supersized pinball machine, built out of common devices like hair dryers, office fans and toy guns by Niklas Roy, a self-described inventor of useless things. The fully playable machine was built on a steep ramp in the exhibition hall and is operated via a control desk where the score is displayed on a jumbo calculator. Styled with UFO’s and other cosmic references, the pinball fits perfectly into the futuristic building designed by the star architect Zaha Hadid.
